To me these might as well be french fries. Delicious, salty, addicting, and I eat them just like a fries! Also relatively healthy and ridiculously easy to make. You won't be disappointed, unless you're Satan or something....

The recipe is here and pictures of the process are below.

Ingredients:

  • 1 bunch of asparagus, bottom 1-2 inches chopped of and removed

  • 1-2 Tbsp. olive oil

  • Freshly ground/coarse black pepper

  • Freshly ground/coarse salt

Directions:

  • Cut the bottom 1-2 inches off the asparagus. These can be tough, chewy, and dry. Then place the asparagus in a single layer on a lined baking tray.

  • Lightly cover all stalks with oil using your hands.

  • Sprinkle a layer of salt and pepper on the stalks and gently turn to mix the salt and pepper around.

  • Bake at 425°F for 12-15 minutes.

  • Serve immediately (and with butter if desired).

Cut the bottoms off the asparagus.

Place the cut asparagus on a lined baking sheet.

After lightly coating with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Before baking.

After baking. SO GOOD!
